Do All The Things

Soho Theatre

6th June, 16:00 (60 mins)

From £16 (plus £4 venue fees)

A&E Comedy (Abigail Dooley & Emma Edwards) return with Do All The Things - a riotously interactive, defiantly feminist comedy show where joy becomes an act of rebellion and silliness is a strength.

In a world that doesn’t make sense, the only sensible thing is to embrace the absurd, tear up the rulebook and join them as they do exactly what they want on stage: from classic old-school variety to radical performance art, Vegas-style magic, and science TED talks. Nothing is off-limits. Deeply superficial and superficially deep, they invite you to step into the chaos, break the rules, and rediscover the power of play and connection.

Born of an authentic legacy of light entertainment, (Abigail’s father Peter Dulay fronted Candid Camera and repped legends like Larry Grayson; Emma’s dad ran a casino and golfed with Bruce Forsyth), A&E pop the cork of collective effervescence for contemporary audiences longing to be brought out of the isolation of screens and social media. They celebrate the power of community and dare the audience to give a rebellious middle finger to despair, and to literally DO ALL THE THINGS.

“We’ve stopped trying to make sense of the world, and are claiming joy as an act of resistance. That feels radical and empowering, especially as older women who are encouraged to be invisible and behave.” say the duo.

“A&E Comedy bring joy to the world. We came. We learnt the Swedish for sheep’s testicles. We danced to The Carpenters. We did all the things. We eventually got our shoes back.”
